  • Bubble-Free: Epoxies may bubble, easily releases all bubbles due to low viscosity, can be used with a heat gun to increase release speed.
  • Impact Resistant: Cures super strong, leaving a smooth impact-resistant surface
  • Minimal odour and NOT AT ALL yellowing after a long period of time.
  • River Art Resin Epoxy will leave your projects with a Solid, UV resistant, impact resistant high gloss finish. Don’t ruin a one-of-a-kind project with a cheap epoxy.

This Ultra/Crystal Clear Epoxy Resin is a ‘top of the line’ water clear superior performance epoxy system that can be used for so many applications including —Casting, Jewellery, Surfboards, Bench Tops, Boat repairs, Floor and Bench Top coating

Following factors affect the curing time:

Mixing quantity (the more you mix, the fast it cures and vice versa)

Room Temperature (higher room temperature will speed up the curing)

Mixing ratio: 3:1 (2 Parts A and 1 Part B)

Application temperature: 25°C

Processing Time: 1 – 2hrs

Gel Time: 6 - 8 hrs

Curing Time: 24 - 48 hrs (Data based on 100ml mixing @ 25°C)

Viscosity:           2500-3500 CPS for Part A

8-15 CPS for Part B

Clarity:                 Pt-Co value < 10 for both Part A and Part B (Crystal Clear)

Compatibility: Binding to metal, inorganic materials including cement; stone, natural materials including wood; particleboard, most plastics except polyethene, polypropylene, EPDM.

Available order quantity: 5 Litre

Shelf life: 12-18 months

Instructions:

1. Ensure that all tools and containers are clean and dry

2. Mix Part A and B and stir thoroughly until well combined

3. If using dyes or powders, please mix well to make sure

all is mixed by scraping the container walls allowing the resin to combine.

4. The epoxy will react and produce heat. The larger amount

mixed, the more heat will be generated and the curing time will be shortened.

5. Always use safety equipment while handling resin, gloves

face masks and safety glasses.

River Art Resin – Quick Guide

Please follow these instructions carefully.

Always use safety equipment

  • Recommended materials – Epoxy Resin – Gloves – Weight scales – Mixing Cups & Stirrers – Infrared temperature gun – Heat Gun or Blow torch – Painters Tape – Cleaning Cloth
  • Tape or seal your mould or project to avoid leaking and spilling the resin
  • Prepare the weight scales and set it GRAMS. Do not measure by ml as this is volume.
  • Always Pour Part B – the hardener first. Measure the correct ratio of your resin (1:1 -2:1 or 3:1). Then add Part A.
    For Example
    1:1 Ratio – Part A 100g = Part B 100g
    2:1 Ratio – Part A 200g = Part B 100g
    3:1 Ratio – Part A 300g = Part B 100g
  • Mix Part A and Part B with a stirrer gently. Make sure you scrape the sides and mixing the resin well. Mix for 5-7mins, confirm no swirls are visible, if you light swirls, this means the hardener has not mixed evenly. Mix the resin for another few minutes or until all swirls disappear. Let the resin rest for 5-8mins, this will allow the bubbles to rise and for the exothermic reaction to start. This means if the room temperature is above 25°C, the resin will start to heat up.
  • Use the Infrared Temperature gun to check the resin is heating up. This is a very important point. When the temperature of the resin has increased to 35-40°C, this would be a good time to separate the mix if needed and mix you Mica or Dyes to Colour the resin.
  • If the room temperature is below 25°C, the resin will need help to start the exothermic reaction. You can use a heat bed or oven with temperature not exceeding 60°C.
    Please Note:
The curing time depends on the room temperature.
At 25°C, the resin will take around 8-12 hours.

During winter, the temp ranges from 1-20°C. This will slow the curing time to 24-48 Hours.
During Summer, the temp ranges 20-35°C. This will hasten the curing time to 6-8 Hours.
